New Leadership for the 21st Century: Empowering Gen-Z and the Millennial Workforce

Adam Smiley Poswolsky, The Quarter-Life Breakthrough

How can we reshape models of leadership and entrepreneurship to be a 21st Century system that meets the requirements of our future? New generations (including Generation-Z and Millennials, who by 2025 will make up 75% of the workforce) are rapidly disrupting industries worldwide. They are digital natives, embracers of sharing economies, and their desire to align work with purpose, requires new leadership models that can adapt and keep up with these needs. We believe in a world where the word “social” will no longer prefix the word “investor” or “entrepreneur” or “enterprise.” What skill sets are needed for future generations? What are the best ways to engage Gen-Z and millennials as leaders, whether they are entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs? How can supportive communities and vibrant networks support the talent of the future, and address the world’s most pressing challenges?
