What are the key sector opportunities in South Asia (SA) and East Africa (EA)? Building on comprehensive research of six SA countries and five EA countries conducted by the GIIN in partnership with Dalberg and Open Capital Advisors, this session will take a detailed look at which sectors pose the greatest opportunity for impact investors and social entrepreneurs across leading markets in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Nepal, as well as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda. Each of these markets presents specific opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors to use business principles to address socioeconomic and development challenges. This session will outline the key drivers of these opportunities and allow attendees to learn from practitioners (both impact investors and social entrepreneurs).
